Principles of Display screen equipment (DSE)
Only £30 per person
1/2 day course
Aimed at those who use DSE activities at work. If workers use DSE daily, as part of their normal work, continuously for an hour or more, employers must do a workstation assessment.
Aches and pains through prolonged use of DSE are very common, and if allowed to continue can lead to permanent harm. Sitting in the same position for hours can lead to aches and pains. Taking short (5–10 minute) breaks from DSE work will help you to work more efficiently and reduce the risk of harm.
DSE, such as computers, laptops, smartphones and tablet PCs are common in all aspects of our lives. Our exposure to DSE continues to increase, with reported levels of up to 9 hours per day spent consuming media on DSE.
Not having the correct DSE or having incorrectly installed DSE can lead to musculoskeletal injuries. It is essential therefore that DSE be correctly identified and risk assessed accordingly.
This DSE course, along with most of our other courses can of course be run at a location your choice.
